Acoustic Navigation And Ranging

Like sonar, but not submerged.

Concept

Waves transmitted, reflected, received. Add special magic and we have a map of the surroundings...

This project seeks to create this special magic.

Theory

Speed of sound in air: V = 331.4 + 0.6T_c

Autonomous Snow-clearing Robot

A robot, for sidewalk and bicycle paths, that can autonomously clear them for snow (i.e. throw snow to the side, or an even cooler way of removing the snow like vaporising it).

It should be very careful not to harm any people or animals.

Resources and stuff needed to start brewing in HAL9K.

First of all it would be nice just to have the most basic stuff and then keep building and evolve if the interest is present.

Ethernet over tin can phones

The goal of this project is to get a data transfer going, over a tin can phone, and ultimately play Quake over a tin can phone. Because we can. Hopefully.

[A tin can phone]

Plan of attack

	* Use a TUN/TAP device, probably controlled from Python.

Skumgummimaskine

Million Mile Remote

The goal of this project is to increase the range of a remote controller beyond any reasonable limits. Why? Because we can and that the techniques can be used in hundred and fifty other contexts as well.

Basic Concepts

	* Point-to-point communication using IR transmitter and receiver - just as any regular remote controller.

Old Fashion Pizza Oven

Create two pizza oven tables, one outside Spagnum and one in the kitchen, and the oven itself. The idea is that the oven should be transportable, so we can move it from the kitchen to the outside during the summer time.

The Shoggoth Swarm Robotics Platform is an attempt at making a very versatile, robust and relatively cheap open-source and open-hardware swarm robotics platform.

Participation very welcome :)
